The test results of Giant Biotechnology have caused doubts
On the evening of June 4, Giant Biotechnology WeChat public account released "To every friend who trusts Giant Biotechnology: Explanation on the test results of our company's recombinant collagen products", which disclosed the relevant testing data of several testing institutions, and once again responded to the incident of the previous incident of its brand product Kefumei collagen rod being accused of "falsification".

Jizi Bio said that it has commissioned several authoritative testing institutions to refer to the methods specified in the "Recombinant Collagen Dressings" of China Pharmaceutical Industry Standards (YY/T 1947-2025) "Recombinant Collagen Dressings" and the Group Standards (T/ZGKSL 004-2023) "Recombinant Collagen Raw Materials for Cosmetics", and displayed relevant testing data from four testing institutions named A, B, C, and D, indicating that "recombinant collagen components can be truly added to the related products of Fumei, and there is no 'false propaganda or misleading consumers' behavior rumored online."

However, on the morning of June 5, the beauty blogger posted a post "Detailed Interpretation of Juzi's Test Results with Juzi's Doubts", questioning why Juzi Biology does not use one organization and one plan to let different testing institutions do cross-verification. Since they all use high-precision mass spectrometry in Company A, why not use mass spectrometry to accurately quantify? Instead, go to Company B and use the double urea method with poor accuracy to quantify it?
After the test results are announced The market value evaporated by billions
It is worth noting that after the above test results were released, on June 5, the market value of Giozi Bio plummeted. As of the closing of the market on the 5th, Juzi Bio's stock price closed at HK$60.85 per share, a daily decline of 8.7%, and its market value evaporated by more than HK$6 billion on the same day.

Some market analysts said that the controversy also exposed the lack of unified testing standards in the recombinant collagen industry, which led to different institutions adopting different methods of testing, and the test results vary greatly.
The reporter noticed that Kefumei previously revealed in a statement that the State Food and Drug Administration has initiated the formulation of industry standards for recombinant collagen and its detection methods in cosmetics in 2025.
