According to @CCTV International Times, US President Trump and Elon Musk, who had just left the position of head of the government's efficiency department, publicly had a "war of words" on June 5 local time, and the relationship between the two broke down. On June 6, local time, Trump told the media on Air Force One that he does not intend to talk to Musk for the time being, but wishes him "all the best." Some American media previously reported that the White House had arranged for Musk to speak Mandarin with Trump on the same day, hoping that the two would ease the tension. Trump said the relevant reports were "wrong".
Trump had previously hinted that he would terminate his government contract with Musk's companies. When asked on June 6, "When the United States is away from these cooperations," Trump said, "Everyone who leaves the United States will still be transferred except me." Musk recently said through a social platform that he is considering "creating a new political party that truly represents 80% of the centrists in the United States" and launching a vote. The survey results on June 6 local time showed that more than 80% of voters chose to create such parties. Musk also expressed his agreement to refer to the party as the "American Party."
