On June 7, a netizen posted a video saying that Shanghai Airlines FM9088 took off from Chenyang Taoxian Airport at around 10:20 am that day, and soon started returning. After flying around the air for about 8 laps, it landed again at Chenyang Taoxian Airport at around 11:45, attracting the attention of netizens.

On the evening of the 7th, the publisher of the video told Jimu News that he is an aviation enthusiast and usually likes to take off and land. When he was shooting that day, he noticed the abnormal behavior of FM9088 flight and learned through the aviation frequency intercom that there was a problem with the flight.
On June 8, a reporter from Jimu News contacted Chenyang Taoxian Airport. A staff member said that she was not clear about the specific flight information and suggested that she contact the airline to which the flight belongs directly.
Afterward, a reporter from Jimu News called Shanghai Airlines. A customer service staff said that after inquiry, she had not received any notice about FM9088 flight. The flight is currently in arriving state and the actual arrival time is 19:53.

Jimu News reporters inquired about Hang Travel Zongheng and found that after FM9088 took off at 10:20 on June 7, it did not fly towards Shanghai, but flew to Huangqizhai Town in the northeast of Chenyang City, and hovered above it many times. After about an hour, it returned to Shenyang Taoxian Airport.
In addition, after returning, the flight took off again at 18:05 on June 7 and successfully arrived at Shanghai Pudong Airport at 19:53, with a total delay of 7 hours and 23 minutes.
Why do the plane have to fly in circles many times before returning? Jimu News reporter consulted senior captain Chen Jianguo on this. He said that there are many reasons for the plane's return. The air circle is generally to deal with faults, or because the landing weight exceeds the maximum landing weight, it requires fuel consumption, or waiting for the weather or the airport to land. Sometimes several situations are possible together. After taking off, the air circle is mostly consumed in the air and landed after the weight is less than the maximum landing weight.
Chen Jianguo introduced that there was a problem with the operation instructions for FM9088, but the problem was not particularly urgent, otherwise you could land directly overweight.

Chen Jianguo told Jimu News reporters that the registration number of FM9088 flight B5832 did not fly again in a short time after returning. FM9088 should have been replaced to execute it. After inquiry, the airline replaced the faulty aircraft B5832 to B1472. Both aircraft models are Boeing 737-800. Currently, the faulty aircraft B5832 is still at Shenyang Taoxian Airport.
