IT Home June 8th news, AMD launched the new generation of Radeon RX 9060 XT graphics card this week, setting a new industry record with an acceleration frequency of 3.13 GHz, becoming the first GPU product to break through 3.1 GHz.
In addition, the RX 9060 XT is also available in factory overclocking versions, with some models capable of 3320 MHz to 3340 MHz (IT Home Note: Safe Overclocking Mode), but the maximum frequency of this series of graphics cards has not yet exceeded 3.4 GHz.
Hardware & Co Backtracking historical data points out that AMD has been on GPU since 2012 The frequency field has almost always maintained a leading position:
2012: The first breakthrough of 1 GHz (Radeon HD 7770 GHz Edition, acceleration frequency 1058 MHz)
2016: Nvidia GTX 1080 was the first to break through the 1.5 GHz mark
2018: AMD broke through 1.5 GHz (Radeon RX 590, acceleration frequency 1545 MHz)
2020: The first breakthrough of 2.0 GHz (Radeon RX 6800 / XT, 2105 MHz and 2250 MHz respectively)
2021: The first breakthrough of 2.5 GHz (Radeon RX 6700 XT, up to 2581 MHz)
2025: First break of 3.0 GHz (Radeon RX 9060 XT, acceleration frequency 3130 MHz)
