Pettontan said that the two sides agreed to adjust military deployment in hot spots of conflict to ease tension and promote cooperation. The two sides will continue consultations through the Thai-Cambodia Joint Border Committee (JBC) mechanism on June 14, and continue dialogue at all levels to promote the return of bilateral relations to normal as soon as possible.
On the same day, Thailand's Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense Putan also said that the Thai and Cambodian military had held talks on the same day. The two sides reached an agreement to withdraw their respective troops to the agreed area reached in 2024.
