Thailand Headline News Agency According to Thai media reports, on June 7, the Thai Marine Corps Chanthaburi Task Force issued an emergency document, announcing that the passage of tourists at two official ports on the Thai-Cambodia border will be suspended from now on, including the Ban Laem port in Pong Nam Ron County, Chanthaburi Prefecture and the Ban Phak Kad port in Khlung County, with the lifting time to be notified separately. This measure does not apply to Cambodian workers who are entering the country, and border trade remains normal.

The document was signed by the commander of the Chanthaburi Task Force and notified the Director of the Immigration Bureau of Chanthaburi. The document pointed out that this move is implemented in accordance with Article 5 of the Martial Law Act of 1914. The martial law state is currently applied in Khlung, Pong Nam Ron and Soi Dao counties in Chanthaburi Prefecture. The military will lead the stability maintenance actions in accordance with the law, and all state organs should continue to perform their duties in accordance with the regulations. At the same time, the military ordered the Chanthaburi Immigration Checkpoint to suspend bilateral tourists' access. The reason for the above measures is that there are currently potential threats from Cambodia, which may endanger the lives and property of the people of Thailand and Cambodia.
