On the morning of the 6th, the 2025 China Water Expo opened at the National Convention and Exhibition Center (Tianjin). This Water Expo is themed "Technology empowers water conservancy and digital intelligence leads the future", attracting nearly 200 well-known enterprises and institutions in the industry such as water-related technology enterprises, research institutes, universities, etc. to participate in the exhibition. As a professional exhibition event with wide influence in my country's water conservancy industry, this Water Expo coincides with the 20th anniversary and has attracted much attention from the industry. The first day of the site visit exceeded 10,000 people.
At the opening ceremony, the China Water Conservancy Society Group Standard was officially released, which will play a key role in promoting the standardization of the water conservancy industry and helping the high-quality development of the industry. During the main technical exchange process, many well-known experts conducted in-depth discussions on hot issues in the water conservancy industry, providing new ideas for industry development. At the exhibition site, exhibitors comprehensively demonstrated innovative achievements in smart water conservancy, water and drought disaster prevention, green water conservation and other fields through physical display, model demonstration, interactive experience and other forms.
Our city water companies performed well at the exhibition. Tianjin Water Group took the theme of "Smart Chain Water Source·Huize People's Livelihood". Six market-oriented enterprises including its pipeline group Taihe Company and the Public Utilities Design Research Institute Broadcom Company took prefabricated insulation pipes with leading technologies in the industry, including the industry-leading technology of high-density polyethylene raw material loading automation system, underwater robots, etc. The water group's water quality monitoring equipment such as water quality analyzers and chlorophyll blue-green algae analyzers with completely independent intellectual property rights have made its first appearance in the entire industry. These equipment will be promoted and applied in our city's raw water reservoirs, pump stations and other water conservancy facilities to improve the water quality and monitoring level of our city.
The "artificial wetland construction technology" displayed by China Construction Sixth Bureau Water Conservancy and Hydropower Company has attracted much attention. This technology is applied to the comprehensive ecological restoration project of recycled water in Jinnan District. It uses the "sealing buffer + strengthened pretreatment system + horizontal undercurrent wetland + surface flow wetland" process to purify sewage, which can effectively store and purify more than 90% of the surface source polluted water, promote regional water system circulation, and provide new solutions for water ecological restoration.
IFLYTEK has shown innovative achievements in the integrated application of "AI+water conservancy". From the informatization construction of water control projects, to precise scheduling of mountain flood prevention and control, to scientific control of urban flood control and drainage, the full-scene application promotes the water conservancy industry to digitalization and intelligence.
In addition, this Water Expo has carefully planned many activities such as on-site release of cutting-edge innovative technology application scenarios and technical exchanges. The technology exchange activities focus on six cutting-edge themes such as digital twin water conservancy construction and river and lake ecological environment recovery, gather industry top experts to conduct case sharing and technical discussions.
It is reported that since its establishment in 2006, the China Water Expo has become a core platform for promoting in-depth exchanges and cooperation in the industry. This exhibition lasts for 3 days and will last until June 8. The guests at the conference said that they will take this Water Expo as an opportunity to strengthen cooperation and jointly promote the development of the water conservancy industry towards digitalization, intelligence and greenness.
