IT Home June 9th news, according to Bloomberg, British Prime Minister Keel Starmer will attend the event today with Nvidia CEO Huang Renxun, highlighting his government's policy of using technology and AI as the core driving force for the economy.
Stumer will hold a conversation with Huang Renxun in London to officially launch a cooperation agreement—Nvidia will assist the UK in AI Talent training and expand research scale in universities and company self-operated laboratories in Bristol.
Stumer hopes to start with a positive vision of technological development and cooperate with his plan to invest hundreds of billions of dollars throughout his term of parliament. Downing Street recently announced that it will invest 86 billion pounds in British scientific research (IT Home Note: the current exchange rate is approximately RMB 836.91 billion), involving pharmaceuticals, green energy and military technology. Starmer will also announce a £187 million AI skills training program to improve AI skills for UK workers and students.
In order to further promote technological innovation, Starmer also invited several technology executives and investors to discuss at Chex Residence last weekend, including Eric Schmidt and Demis Hassabis (former CEO of Google and founder of Google DeepMind, respectively).
