Thailand durian and other Southeast Asian fruits have been "taken" in a series of cold chain trains on the "Lan-Mekong Express" and arrived in Kunming through the China-Laos Railway. They were packed and reorganized and sent to all parts of the country. The price of durian has dropped, meeting the consumption demand for imported high-priced fruits in the domestic market. The China-Laos Railway, an import and export trade channel, has played an important role in it.
According to the transportation needs of the peak season of fresh fruits, China Railway Kunming Bureau Group Co., Ltd. and China Railway Union-Jiangxi have jointly built the Kunming Central Station Hongyun International Logistics Port. This "off-station station" provides "one-stop" services such as storage, distribution, and maintenance, which not only improves the efficiency of goods transfer and distribution, but also reduces freight costs, giving the China-Laos Railway a "big warehouse" to the golden channel.
Since the operation of the "Lan-Mekong Express" of the China-Laos Railway, the cost of fruit transportation in Southeast Asia has been reduced by 60% compared with traditional land transportation, and the average terminal price of domestic market has dropped by 30%. The frequency of durian on the shelves in fruit stores in cities such as Beijing and Shanghai has increased from twice a week to daily restocking. Previous niche fruits such as mangosteen and longan have now become "frequently customers" of mass consumption.
Relying on the unique advantages of the "LanMekong Express" international freight train of the China-Laos Railway's "LanMekong Express" international freight train, more than 50 tons of high-quality Xianmang from Laos took the "LanMekong Express" international freight train of the China-Laos Railway's "LanMekong Express" international freight train on June 3, and successfully arrived in Kunming, Yunnan in less than 50 hours.
This is another new "member" of transportation after the China-Laos Railway successfully transported Southeast Asian tropical fruits such as durian and mangosteen.
The efficient transportation of the China-Laos Railway has enriched the fruit choices of domestic consumers and provided solid and strong support for building a logistics hub for South and Southeast Asia.
Mohan Railway Port has built a digital cargo yard through 5G and Beidou technology. Cross-border goods cover more than 3,000 categories such as China's new energy vehicles and photovoltaic modules. Imports of tropical fruits such as Thailand's durian increased by 25% year-on-year, and exports of temperate fruits and vegetables and smart home appliances increased by 30%.
