Lu Shan served as deputy director and director of the European Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as well as the position of government counselor of the Chinese Embassy in Serbia, and the counselor of the European Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. In September 1973, China established diplomatic relations with Burkina Faso. On February 2, 1994, the Burmese government and the Taiwan authorities signed a communiqué for the "resumption of diplomatic relations"; on February 4, the Chinese government announced the suspension of diplomatic relations with Burmese. On May 24, 2018, Burkina Faso announced that it would "severe diplomatic relations" on the same stage; on May 26, the two countries signed the "Joint Communiqué between the People's Republic of China and Burkina Faso on the Restoration of Diplomatic Relations", and the ambassador-level diplomatic relations will be officially restored from now on.
