The location is in London, both sides are trying to save worry. Beijing and Washington's own territory are too politically under pressure, so it is easy to find a neutral place to talk to.

Let's talk about the nuclear power ban first. The United States aims at parts of nuclear power plants and wants to block orders from hundreds of millions of dollars in US companies such as Westinghouse Electric and Emerson. The essence is to use nuclear power as a hostage. China has just issued a 6-month rare earth "life-extending card" to General Motors and Ford, and has resumed receiving Boeing aircraft. At this time, the United States issued a nuclear power ban, which clearly wants to play a "peer threat". But they forgot that China's nuclear power independent rate exceeded 90%, and the "Hualong One" unit has independent entire chain from design to construction, and the construction cycle is 30% shorter than international standards.
The second move is to compete with the drone. On June 6, Trump signed several orders requiring the military drone supply chain to be completely "de-Sinicized" and the Pentagon was not allowed to buy drones with Chinese parts. He also forced civilian drone companies to report how relied on China, and even allocated $2.7 billion to do research and development. Chinese drone companies such as DJI and Daotong are likely to be on their "blacklist", and it will be difficult for new products to be sold in the United States in the future.
But can the United States play around on its own? Disaster! DJI accounts for 70% of the global commercial drone market, and even the US special forces secretly use their modified machines in private. The drone built by the United States itself has a similar performance price of three times that of China! American companies like FedEx and Electric Power, which work with drones, directly opposed it. The cost is too high. If you really do this, many projects will be paralyzed.
After all, this operation in the United States is an anxiety disorder. Their domestic economic pressure is huge (car companies are about to collapse and prices are soaring), and they urgently need to cooperate with China to ease; but on the other hand, they cannot let go of their minds to suppress China's technological rise. The result is that one fights with one another, "when one wants to discuss cooperation, one makes a stumbling problem." We in China are much calmer. History will not be repeated, but who dares to say that it will not be similar? The hasty moves of the United States before the talks are just a projection of political anxiety and technological weakness. When hegemony begins to rely on blockade rather than innovation, decline becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy.
It will be a matter of time before the blockade and suppression of others and not innovate by yourself. China has long expressed its attitude, "Cooperation must be in two-way."
