It is worth mentioning that after the opening ceremony, the Frontier Forum on Applied Mathematics and the Seminar on Mathematics Discipline Construction were officially opened. In his speech, Zhang Yan, Secretary of the Party Committee of Chongqing Normal University, said that mathematics is the core driving force of scientific and technological innovation, and the school will continue to strengthen the construction of mathematics disciplines.
Yang Xinmin, director of Chongqing National Center for Applied Mathematics, reported on the spot: Since its approval in 2020, the center has closely followed the "five first-class" goals, built an innovation ecosystem of "mathematician + industry experts + entrepreneurs", undertakes major projects and key R&D plans of the National Natural Science Foundation, and has made important scientific research breakthroughs; independently developed ultrafast blue light lasers, with performance reaching the international leading level; collaborative innovation with China Electric Power Intelligent Security and other companies to promote the development of smart cars and smart transportation, and serve the construction of urban intelligence.
