On June 8, according to Thai media, officials from the Consumer Protection and Related Crime Fighting Department of the Commercial Department of the National Police of Thailand ordered subordinate police officers to go to the refrigeration warehouse of a private company in Nadi District, Long Sakura Prefecture for a raid and search, because they received a complaint and reports that there were suspected illegal imported goods here.

In this regard, the police seized all the above chicken feet for further inspection, and coordinated the person in charge and the importer involved in the case to cooperate with the investigation and prosecution. According to relevant Thai laws, if animals, animals' bodies or other items that may carry infectious diseases are imported into Thailand without permission, the person involved will face up to two years in prison or a fine of 200,000 baht, or both. Subsequent staff will collect chicken feet samples for inspection to evaluate safety risks and collect evidence to prosecute the person involved in the case in accordance with the law.
