On June 7, the WeChat official account of "Xuancheng Cultural Tourism" issued a report on the situation:
Our county attaches great importance to the Internet's beating of a tourist Cai in Taohuatan Town, and has set up a special working team to conduct a comprehensive investigation and serious handling, and announced it to the public. This incident exposed the shortcomings in the management of the tourism market in our county.
Here, we express our sincere apology to the tourist Cai and his family. Our county will learn from one example and apply it to others, strengthen the standardized management of the tourism market order, deal with all kinds of behaviors that disrupt the tourism market order in accordance with the law and regulations, create a good tourism environment, and wholeheartedly provide enthusiastic and thoughtful services to tourists from all walks of life.

According to previous media reports, recently, tourists reported that during the Dragon Boat Festival holiday, he took his wife and daughter to Jingxian, Anhui for a trip. At noon on June 1, he parked in a public parking space near Taohuatan Scenic Area. The nearby restaurant owner asked that he must eat at the hotel, otherwise parking would not be possible. After he refused, the two sides had an argument. Then, the hotel owner called other people in the store to beat him up. On June 6, the reporter contacted Jingxian Culture and Tourism Bureau by phone. The staff said that the two parties had settled on the same day and whether they would impose penalties are being further confirmed.
