According to local residents, Xiaoqiong Village, about 10 miles near the township in northern Shan State, Myanmar, was immediately bombarded by large-scale artillery in the Naoqiong city, and residents of the town fled their homes one after another.
It is understood that starting from around 8 pm on June 4, after the military troops arrived in the Xiaoqiong Village area, they immediately fired at least 12 heavy shells into several areas of the urban area of Naoqiu Town, injuring two women and two men in the market block.

As military forces use heavy weapons to attack civilian areas, most of the residents of Naoqiu Town are currently escaping the fire of war and becoming war refugees.

I learned from the local people that due to the continuous approaching of the Naoqiu urban area, villagers from eight villages near the urban area fled to refuge. Among them, most of the people fled to Jiaomei Town for refuge. According to incomplete statistics, the number of people escaping asylums, including those near Naoqiu City, has reached thousands.
TNLA spokesman Lei Yewu said at a press conference on June 5 that the Naoqiu Town District is currently in a state of fierce war between the military and the TNLA, and the military is constantly increasing troops and dispatching support troops to the area.
