On Sunday (June 8), Turkish Foreign Ministry reported that Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan had a phone call with Egyptian Foreign Minister Badel Abdul Atti and Jordanian Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi to discuss the latest situation in Gaza.

During the call, Philippine Foreign Ministers focused on exchanges with the foreign ministers of the two countries on the latest developments in the Gaza region and efforts to promote the ceasefire. Since October 2023, Israel has rejected the international ceasefire call and launched devastating military operations in Gaza, killing nearly 54,800 Palestinians, most of whom are women and children. Aid agencies warn that more than 2 million residents in the Gaza Strip are at risk of famine.
In November last year, the International Criminal Court issued an arrest warrant against Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his former Defense Minister Joaf Galant on the grounds of war crimes and crimes against humanity. In addition, Israel faces genocide charges from the International Court of Justice for war crimes committed against civilians in Gaza.
