According to GitHub, Teams will be better with the agent in terms of devops, which helps developers complete tasks from fixing errors to performing dependency upgrades.
Artificial intelligence is becoming increasingly important in enterprise software development, especially with the rise of accompanying proxy models, Martin Woodward, vice president of developer relations at GitHub, said in a speech at the GitHub Galaxy online conference this week. He also said that devops are a key factor in the use of artificial intelligence.

In a speech on software development and artificial intelligence entitled "Artificial Intelligence Accelerating Enterprises", Woodward emphasized that artificial intelligence tools are being adopted in different ways. "AI has and can be used in your entire application pipeline to speed up the team," Woodward said. "But what we're seeing is the team that is best suited to mature devops practices, they are currently the team that is best suited to leverage the power of AI, with processes, technologies and guardrails to help you ship faster."
Speaking of GitHub Copilot, Woodward pointed out that AI-powered programming tools are moving beyond autocomplete capabilities to help developers iterate their code faster and enter the next stage of AI coding assistance. "We've seen the rise of proxy-based approaches in software development, and we've also seen how software is built native to AI," he said. Woodward said developers who use Visual Studio Code on GitHub now have a large number of models for them to use.
Woodward said that Devops is also refining based on the proxy mode. He showed a slide that read: "The team will get better with the agent in terms of development," which noted that the agent helps developers complete tasks such as fixing bugs, targeted refactoring, performing code reviews, and performing dependency upgrades. Woodward also showed a slide describing future software, pointing out that future applications will be cloud-native, customer experience-centric, and intelligent, artificial intelligence will be built into the customer experience.
Woodward said that the leading companies have focused on customer experience.
