On June 5, the 2025 Town Economic Innovation and Development Forum was held in Beijing. At the meeting, the 2025 China Town Economic High-Quality Development Research Report was released, and more than 20,000 established towns across the country were conducted to produce the "Top 500 Town Economics in 2025". Xiannv Town and Daqiao Town in our district have been listed on the top 500 town economies in the country. Among them, Xiannv Town rose from 70th place last year to 64th place, and Daqiao Town rose from 217th place last year to 201st place.
Town economy is a key factor in shaping new regional competitive advantages and promoting urban-rural integration. This evaluation system is based on the research on the characteristics of towns and the connotation of high-quality development of town economy, combined with national strategic requirements such as new urbanization and rural revitalization, and is guided by a more scientific, reasonable and comprehensive evaluation of the high-quality development level of town economy. The "Top 500 Town Economy in 2025" evaluates from four dimensions: economic strength, industrial capacity, consumption vitality, and urban-rural joint force. Each dimension is composed of corresponding secondary indicators. The research and evaluation index system includes 4 first-level indicators and 16 second-level indicators. In addition, this evaluation also comprehensively considers supporting indicators such as colleges and universities in the town, innovation and entrepreneurship carrier platforms at or above the provincial level, and honorary titles reflecting the economic and social development of the town.
Xianniao Town achieved a regional GDP of 60.94 billion yuan in 2024, achieved a general public budget revenue of 1.288 billion yuan, industrial invoice sales of 43.09 billion yuan, and fixed asset investment of 14.08 billion yuan. There were 11 new industrial enterprises above the designated size, 43 enterprises above the designated size, 12 enterprises above the designated size, and 34.5 billion yuan added value in the tertiary industry, and 32 of the top 100 industrial enterprises in the region were exclusively occupied. JAC Motors ranked second in sales in the national pickup truck industry, with invoice sales exceeding the 5 billion yuan mark. The annual sales of Jiangdu Live E-commerce Base reaches 2 billion yuan. "Good Place and Good Life" National Day Auto Show sold more than 300 vehicles, and 1.1 million yuan of car coupons were issued. The construction output value of construction enterprises was achieved at 23.14 billion yuan.
Daqiao Town (Development Zone) achieved a regional GDP of 23.7 billion yuan in 2024, achieved a general public budget revenue of 482 million yuan, industrial invoice sales of 52.7 billion yuan, and fixed asset investment of 9.176 billion yuan. By the end of 2024, there will be 155 industrial enterprises above the designated size, 36 service industry enterprises above the designated size, and 45 high-tech enterprises in the region, including 43 enterprises with a total of 100 million yuan, 7 enterprises with a total of 1 billion yuan, and 6 enterprises with a total of 2 billion yuan. CITIC Pacific Yangzhou Special Materials issued an invoice of 16 billion yuan, COSCO Shipping Yangzhou Heavy Industry issued an invoice of more than 8 billion yuan for the first time, and China Shipbuilding Chengxi issued an invoice of more than 3 billion yuan for the first time. A total of 4 national green factories have been approved, 1 single-in-one manufacturing industry champion, 1 national 5G factory list enterprise, and 15 "specialized, specialized and new" enterprises at the provincial level or above.
