On the morning of June 6, at the construction site of the Wuhai Yellow River Super Bridge from Baotou to Yinchuan High-speed Railway (hereinafter referred to as Baoyin High-speed Railway), with the precise landing of the last set of 500-meter-long steel rails,. The total length of the line is 519 kilometers, of which the Inner Mongolia section line is 402 kilometers long and the designed speed is 250 kilometers per hour.
Baotou to Yinchuan High-speed Railway is an important part of the Jinglan Channel of the national "eight vertical and eight horizontal" high-speed railway network, and is the first high-speed railway line connecting two ethnic autonomous regions. After the full opening of the Baoyin High-speed Railway, the fastest running time of trains from Baotou to Yinchuan will be shortened from more than 6 hours to 2 hours, becoming the fastest channel for northwest regions such as western Inner Mongolia and Ningxia. It is of great significance to improve the layout of the national high-speed railway network and promote the economic and social development of the Northwest region.
