U.S. President Trump said in a telephone interview with NBC on the 7th that his relationship with Tesla CEO Elon Musk has ended. Trump also warned Musk not to fund the Democratic Party, otherwise it would have "serious consequences."
In the past few days, Trump and Musk have publicly broke out in a "war of words", and the content of mutual accusations has gradually escalated to almost personal attacks. When Trump was asked if the relationship had ended, Trump said, "Yes, I think so."
Trump accused Musk of disrespect for the president: "I think this is a very bad thing because he is very disrespectful to people. You can't disrespect the president's office."
Trump and Musk had a dispute, mainly because of the Republican-led large-scale tax and expenditure bill passed by the U.S. House of Representatives last month. Trump believes Musk knew the content of this bill very early and should not suddenly publicly oppose it. He said: "I'm very disappointed because Elon knows the internal functioning of the bill. I'm very disappointed with Elon. I've helped Elon a lot."

Trump said he was not worried that Musk's opposition would become an obstacle to the passage of the "big and American" bill, and he was "very confident" that the bill would be passed by the Senate by July 4.
Trump also warned in the interview that if Musk funded Democratic candidates to compete with Republicans who voted for the "Big and American" bill, there would be "serious consequences." Trump said that "I can do this" about the proposal he had previously talked about to cancel Musk's federal contract, but there is no more consideration yet.
After the end of the "war of words" with Trump, Musk deleted some social media posts criticizing Trump, sending signals of hope of reconciliation with Trump. But Trump said he had no intention of repairing his relationship with Musk and believed that the Republican Party was more united than ever after the two publicly fell out.
Trump said he has no plans to talk to Musk in the near future. "I'm too busy." Trump said, "I don't plan to talk to him either." (Reporter: Xu Xingtang)
