Answer: China is highly concerned about heavy metal pollution incidents in the Mekong tributary in Thailand, and has noticed the recent inspection reports released by the Thai government and relevant localities, supporting Thailand and Myanmar to strengthen communication and coordination, carry out scientific and responsible investigations, and resolve problems through friendly consultation. China has always required overseas Chinese companies to abide by the laws of their host countries and operate in accordance with the law and comply with regulations. It is willing to work closely with all countries in the Mekong River Basin to jointly protect the ecological environment and water quality of the basin.
