The East China Administration of Civil Aviation in China recently officially issued an approval document, and agreed to name the newly built Jieshou General Airport "Fuyang Jieshou Airport". The approval of this naming marks that Fuyang Jieshou Airport, as a hub general airport in northern Anhui, is one step closer to its official operation. It is expected to meet the navigation conditions this year.
In 2024, the Provincial General Aviation Holding Group and Jieshou City signed a cooperation agreement to jointly collect evidence and operate Fuyang Jieshou Airport. The airport is operated and managed by the airport operation and management company under the group. Previously, the naming of Fuyang Jieshou Airport has been organized and reviewed for the naming of new airports in accordance with the requirements of the "Regulations on the Management of Civil Airport Names". After completing the relevant work such as soliciting opinions, it will be submitted to the Civil Aviation East China Regional Administration for approval and received approval.
According to the "Anhui General Airport Layout Plan (2019-2035)", Fuyang Jieshou Airport is a Class A1 general airport, located in Wangduozhuang, Dahuang Town, Jieshou City. The flight area is built according to the 2B standard, with a land area of about 310,000 square meters, the runway is 1,000 meters long and 30 meters wide, and the total area of the apron is 22,800 square meters, with a total of 12 aircraft seats. After the airport is put into operation, it will fill the gap in general aviation infrastructure in northern Anhui, effectively promote the cultivation and development of the low-altitude economic industrial chain in Jieshou City and surrounding areas, and is of great significance to improving the comprehensive transportation system in northern Anhui, improving emergency rescue capabilities, and promoting industrial transformation and upgrading. In the future, the airport will become a new engine for regional economic development, injecting new impetus into the high-quality development of low-altitude economy in Anhui and northern Anhui.
