Trump warned Musk not to fund Democrats, accusing him of disrespect for the president, saying "not intending to talk to him"

U.S. President Trump said in a telephone interview with NBC on the 7th that his relationship with Tesla CEO Elon Musk has ended. Trump also warned Musk not to fund the Democratic Party, otherwise it would have "serious consequences."

In the past few days, Trump and Musk have publicly broke out in a "war of words", and the content of mutual accusations has gradually escalated to nearly personal attacks. When Trump was asked if the relationship was over, Trump said, "Yes, I think so."

Trump accused Musk of disrespect for the president: "I think this is a very bad thing because he is very disrespectful to people. You can't disrespect the president's office."

Trump said he was not worried that Musk's opposition would become a barrier to the passage of the "Big and American" bill, and he was "very confident" that the bill would be passed by the Senate by July 4.

Trump also warned in the interview that if Musk funded Democratic candidates to compete with Republicans who voted for the "Big and American" bill, there would be "serious consequences." Trump said that "I can do this" about the proposal he had previously talked about to cancel Musk's federal contract, but there is no more consideration yet. After the "war of words" with Trump ended, Musk deleted some social media posts criticizing Trump, sending signals that hoped to reconcile with Trump.
