The reporter learned from the China Railway Bridge Bureau on June 7 that on June 6, the China Railway Bridge Bureau was designed by China Railway Bridge Institute and constructed by China Railway Bridge BureauG3 Tongling Yangtze River Road and Railway Bridge successfully completed the "ultimate physical examination" - the bridge dynamic and static load test.
214 heavy-load trucks with a total weight of about 9,000 tons were on the bridge in batches, simulating future traffic loads, and conducting comprehensive testing of the bridge.

This is the first time in the world that a load test has been successfully implemented on a dual-layer cable-stayed-suspending cable cooperation system for such a large span. This experiment took 4 days, and the main project of the bridge successfully passed the "big test", taking a key step towards the opening of traffic in July this year.
Load test is the "ultimate physical examination" to verify the load-bearing capacity and safety of the bridge before opening to traffic. It is divided into static load test and dynamic load test. By applying equivalent loads simulated opening to traffic on the bridge deck, engineers measure the displacement and strain data of key parts of the bridge (such as steel beams, main towers, main cables, slings, etc.) in real time, and compare and analyze them with the theoretical design value, thereby scientifically evaluating whether the actual working performance of the bridge meets the design and specification requirements.
G3 Tongling Yangtze River Road and Railway Bridge Route is 11.877 kilometers long, integrating three river crossing functions: "highway, intercity railway, and freight railway". The main span of the bridge is 988 meters, the upper floor is a 6-lane expressway with a designed speed of 100 kilometers per hour; the lower floor is a four-line railway, including two-line passenger railways and two-line freight railways.
