According to Thai media, on June 7, Mr. Nikonde, spokesman and director of the Information Department of Thailand's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, revealed that the Israeli government notified the Thai Embassy in Tel Aviv on the same day, saying that the last Thai hostage was confirmed dead and was one of the three Thai hostages still in the Gaza region. The other two were confirmed dead last year, but the body has not been found yet.

In response to this matter, Thai Prime Minister Petton posted on social media on the same day, saying that she and the government would like to express their deepest condolences to the Thai hostages who died in Gaza. At present, the Thai Embassy in Tel Aviv has contacted the families of the victims, informed the victims of their deaths and will further promote the follow-up work.

Petuntan said that the Thai government will do its best to call for the recovery of all Thai hostages still in the Gaza Strip, while Thailand urged all parties to return to negotiations to reach a peaceful and sustainable solution.
