On June 8, according to Thai media, the director of the Thailand Tourism Police Department, Sasila ordered officials of the Third Branch of the Tourism Police to lead subordinate police officers and the police in Phangan Island, Surat Thani Prefecture to jointly launch a plan near Huaatean Pier, a 37-year-old Russian man, to arrest Mr. Vigen, near the local Ban Tai town of Huaatean Pier.
At the same time, the police also seized multiple charges of crimes, such as 2.20 grams of cocaine, MDMA, K powder, e-cigarettes, as well as 13,000 baht of cash, a motorcycle and 2 mobile phones. He also accused him of illegally selling drugs and other crimes, and was later taken back to the police station to take legal action. It is understood that the man tried to escape when he found out that he was targeted by the police and threw away the drugs he carried, but he was unable to escape in the end.

He added that because unemployment requires money to support his family, he chose to order drugs for sale, and he is a well-known DJ in the area, so finding a source of customers is relatively easy. The case is believed to be an automatic backend drug trading activity by a foreign gang using artificial intelligence systems, causing drug trading to spread among foreigners in Koh Koh Phangan and Koh Samui.
