IT Home June 7th news, Huawei officially announced yesterday that Jilin Unicom officially launched a "all-optical 10 Gigabit Cloud Competition" package for campus users, marking a key step for Jilin Unicom in the field of integrated applications of 10 Gigabit Optical Network and 1ms urban computing network.
According to Huawei, Jilin Unicom's "All-optical 10 Gigabit Cloud Competition" relies on Huawei's 50G PON+OTN solution and uses the 1ms city computing network as the all-optical base to achieve 10 Gigabit network coverage from fiber to room.
Huawei said that the package adopts a thin terminal solution, and users can complete the game through cloud computing without high-performance local devices, significantly reducing hardware costs. Its advantages are mainly reflected in the following three aspects: First, the fast experience, the delay from the terminal to the computing resource pool only takes 1ms, the mouse is smooth and the hand is operated without lag; Second, the ultimate image quality is supported, with a maximum refresh rate of 240 frames and 2K resolution, which perfectly adapts to various game needs; Third, the ultimate bandwidth, super large file transmission does not require waiting, effectively improving learning efficiency.
IT Home learned from the official website that Jilin Unicom has opened sample sites in many places in Jilin City, covering well-known universities such as Northeast Electric Power University, Jilin Medical College, and Jilin Electronic Information Vocational and Technical College, and has carefully created model rooms for students to experience for free.
Li Ming, a student at Northeast Electric Power University, said, "In the past, playing games required high-end configuration, but now you only need an ordinary computer to play, and the network latency is almost impossible to feel."
