Objectively speaking, we can indeed maintain a positive attitude towards the upcoming China-US talks.
Although the fundamental contradiction between China and the United States is difficult to resolve, this talk will also be a very difficult talk.
But from the reality, the Sino-US talks are indeed likely to achieve relatively positive results.
There are two reasons.
First, Trump is eager to reach a compromise with China, providing a foundation for possible important consensus between China and the United States.
To put it bluntly, they can only make compromises when the United States is anxious to solve the problem.
As long as the United States is willing to compromise, there will naturally be a talk between China and the United States.
The reason why Trump emphasizes that he is eager to resolve some trade issues between China and the United States.
The reason is simple.
On the one hand, it is because the United States needs China, which includes the United States needs China's rare earths, China needs to import American products, etc.
On the other hand, Trump needs such a result to block Americans' mouths.
Because of Trump's tariff policy, opposition in the United States is growing.
Even Musk believes that Trump's tariff policy will put the US economy in recession in the second half of this year.
The Trump administration explained that tariff policies are just bargaining chips they use to negotiate with countries around the world. But the problem is that those people in the United States, what they are seeing now is that Trump uses tariff policies to harm the US economy, and he has not seen any achievements Trump has made.
So, of course, Trump is very anxious.
For Trump, seeking to reach a compromise with China and form a trade agreement may help him withstand domestic pressure.
It is precisely because Trump has such an idea that it provides an important foundation for the achievements of this Sino-US talks.
Second, China has never fought a war that is unsure.
Just like we were on the negotiating table with the United States for the first time, through this talks, China and the United States reached an important consensus, that is, the Trump administration was forced to shift the game situation between the two sides back before April 2.
Now, we are willing to sit on the negotiating table with the United States again, and obviously we should have certain expectations for the relevant results.
So, we can indeed have certain expectations for the results of this China-US talks.
It is worth mentioning that according to Reuters on the 6th, China has issued temporary rare earth export licenses to General Motors, Ford and Stratlandis, the three major American automakers.
This is actually China's sincerity to the United States, but it should be noted that this is just a temporary export license, and it is just a US automaker and other companies.
In other words, this does not mean that the United States has solved the rare earth problem.
So, I also hope that the United States can show true sincerity in the dialogue.
