This batch of lychees was freshly picked in the fields of Zhanjiang, Guangdong on June 5, and then transported by JD.com by full-course cold chain air transportation. In the early morning of the 6th, they successfully arrived at Urumqi Tianshan International Airport. In the early morning, they were directly distributed from the cold chain warehouse to the local supermarket, allowing Urumqi citizens to taste the "fresh sweetness of trees" from Lingnan as soon as possible.
At around 8 o'clock that day, in the JD cold chain warehouse in the Economic and Technological Development Zone (Toutunhe District), boxes of lychees marked with the words "Fastest morning" and "Door delivery" were neatly placed. The staff took the goods in an orderly manner and prepared for delivery to the sales store.
Li Yongxing, head of the cold chain warehouse of Urumqi, Xinjiang, JD Logistics Supply Chain Division, introduced that this batch of lychees arrived at Urumqi Tianshan International Airport at 3 a.m. on the 6th. After receiving the goods, the staff quickly transported them to the cold chain warehouse for freshness. After completing the quantity inventory, it is immediately sent to the supermarket through a cold chain car to ensure that the lychees are presented to consumers in the best condition.
The whole transportation time of this batch of lychees is less than 24 hours from picking to arriving in the hands of consumers. When the truck full of lychees arrived at the Xishiduo Life Supermarket on Xishanxi Street, the owner Xia Chunyan reserved a place to place it in advance. However, as soon as the goods were unloaded, passing consumers gathered around to buy.
"Everyone tastes it first, and then buy it if you think it's good!" Xia Chunyan greeted the customers enthusiastically.
"This lychee is so fresh!" Tang Wei, a nearby resident, exclaimed after tasting it. As a lychee lover, she bluntly said that the freshness is surprising and you can feel the refreshing and juicy flesh in one bite. "I didn't expect that Urumqi and Guangdong can still buy the lychees I picked the day before, thousands of kilometers apart!" Tang Wei bought 3 boxes on the spot.
The reporter learned that the batch of fresh lychees in the supermarket were sold in boxes, and a box of two and a half kilograms sold for 39.9 yuan.
The relevant person in charge of the Xinjiang region of JD Logistics Supply Chain Department said that it is currently in the concentrated market period of lychees, and the price of this batch of lychees is 4-5 yuan lower than the market retail price per kilogram. The first batch of lychees are mainly sold in Urumqi, and will be sold to more than 10 cities in Xinjiang such as Turpan and Karamay, and will be sold through more than 11,000 cooperative supermarkets and JD convenience stores.
