
On June 9th local time, the 13th Sino-British Political Party Dialogue was held in London with the theme of "China-British Relations in a Rapidly Change World". Liu Jianchao, Minister of the Foreign Liaison Department of the CPC Central Committee, Lidington, President of the UK-China Association and former Chief Cabinet Minister, West, Deputy Secretary of the British Foreign Development Department of the United Kingdom, and Rosendale, Deputy Secretary of the Foreign Development Department of the Conservative Film Cabinet, attended and delivered speeches. More than 50 representatives from Chinese ministries and local representatives from the Central Propaganda Department, the Central Finance and Economics Office, the Central Foreign Office, the Beijing Municipal Committee and other members of the British Labor Party, the Conservative Party, and Liberal Democratic Party.

The two sides believe that the world today is experiencing unprecedented challenges, with increasing instability and uncertainty, and a healthy and stable China-UK relationship is very important to both countries and the world. The two sides should strengthen communication and dialogue to enhance mutual understanding and trust; expand cooperation in the fields of economy and trade, investment, scientific research, education, health, artificial intelligence, climate change, etc.; strengthen cultural exchanges and enhance people-to-people friendship; jointly safeguard the international system with the United Nations as the core, and promote world peace and development. The two sides had constructive exchanges and interactions on issues such as "the role of political parties in the future direction of Sino-UK relations" and "adhering to multilateralism and jointly responding to global security concerns and global challenges". The two sides had frank and in-depth exchanges and discussions on issues with different views. The two sides agreed to continue to hold a good dialogue between China and the UK and make efforts to enhance understanding, manage differences, expand consensus and strengthen cooperation.
