According to the Russian Presidential Office on the 9th, Nikola Patrushev, assistant to the Russian President and chairman of the Russian Maritime Commission, said that Russian President Putin approved the Russian Navy development strategy before 2050, "similar documents were approved for the first time in modern history."

Partrushev reportedly pointed out in an interview with The Argument and Fact that developing a strong and modern naval is one of Russia's priority tasks. The Russian Navy development strategy has evaluated its potential in combination with the combat experience of the special military operation zone.
Patrushev said, "The decision to draft the strategy was made at a meeting held in the Kremlin in July 2024. The Russian Ministry of Defense drafted the draft strategy, which was then finalized by the Maritime Commission of the Russian Federation in conjunction with the recommendations of the federal ministries and organizations. The final version of the strategy has been submitted to the Head of State and was officially approved on May 30."
He also said that the assessment of naval capabilities in the Russian Navy's development strategy takes into account experience in special military operations.
