On May 15, the first report meeting of the theme tour commemorating the 80th anniversary of the victory of the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression was held in Dingxi.
Members of the National Veterans Propaganda Team, Wang Huan and Jia Jiandong, the first "Most Beautiful Veterans" of Ningxia, Li Shengshou, Qi Husheng, Li Wenqiang, Gansu Province's "National Model Retired Soldiers", Dong Jianxin, and other six "veterans" tell the story of their unrealized ambitions in the second battlefield of their lives, integrating personal values with national interests, and converging their meanings with people's well-being, continuing to write touching stories of their original aspirations and mission, responsibility and dedication, and interpreting the immortal military soul of "retirement without fading". At the report meeting, members of the propaganda team presented carefully prepared gifts to the student representatives, giving the blessings of veterans and the encouragement of veterans to young students, and passing on the spirit of veterans who bravely shoulder the heavy responsibility to create miracles from generation to generation.
More than 700 representatives of cadres and staff of Dingxi Municipal Department, public security police, fire commanders and fighters, school teachers and students, veterans and veterans' workers listened to the report. The atmosphere of the report meeting was warm, and the audience expressed that they should take veterans as an example, continue the revolutionary torch, bravely shoulder the heavy responsibility of the times, and strive to contribute to the high-quality economic and social development of Dingxi and make new contributions.
