Lanzhou Municipal Market Supervision and Administration Bureau held a meeting to promote the rectification of problems of counterfeit and inferior meat products and counterfeit and inferior food in rural areas.

In order to deepen the centralized rectification work and effectively ensure the "safety on the tip of the tongue" of the people, on June 6, the Lanzhou Municipal Market Supervision Administration organized a promotion meeting to rectify problems of making and selling counterfeit and inferior meat products and rural counterfeit and inferior foods in the city.

The meeting pointed out that the current rectification work still has problems such as inadequate implementation of the responsibilities of some production and operation entities and irregular production and operation. In this regard, market supervision departments at all levels in the city should follow the "four strictest" as the fundamental guideline and focus on three aspects of work: First, we must increase law enforcement efforts, keep a close eye on the problems in the production and sale of fake and inferior meat products and rural fake and inferior foods, pay close attention to various complaints and reports, and concentrate our efforts on digging and thoroughly investigating clues of violations; Second, we must strengthen departmental cooperation and regional coordination, improve the mechanism for the connection of executions and punishments to avoid supervision blind spots; Third, we must promote social governance and improve consumers' identification ability through publicity and education.

The meeting required that all units should take this promotion meeting as an opportunity to further refine work measures, continue to maintain a high-pressure situation for illegal and irregular behaviors, continue to deepen the two special rectification actions, effectively build a solid food safety defense line, and create a safe and secure consumption environment for the people.
