Late at night on June 5, 2025, Democratic Representatives @RobertGarcia and @RepStephenLynch wrote to FBI Director Cash Patel and Attorney General Pam Bundy, requesting the following information on Trump’s relationship with Jeffrey Epstein and explaining why the documents were not published:
1. Provide a timeline for the department to decrypt and publicly publish all remaining documents related to the investigation and prosecution of convicted sex offenders Jeffrey Epstein and Gislan Maxwell;
2. Explain why the Justice Department failed to respond to the request of Republican members of the Federal Confidential Decryption Task Force on February 27, 2025 3. Describe the role of President Donald Trump in reviewing documents related to the investigation and prosecution of convicted sex offenders Jeffrey Epstein and Gislan Maxwell, and his role in deciding the ability of the Department of Justice to decrypt and disclose the documents described above;
IV. Provide a list of all persons required to be approved in order to decrypt and publicly publish documents related to the investigation and prosecution.
5. Explain why the documents previously issued to the Federal Confidential Decryption Task Force contain a large number of abridges.
