The British Daily Telegraph quoted two sources as saying on the 4th that American entrepreneur Elon Musk sought to remain in office before resigning as head of the government's efficiency department, but was rejected. Sources revealed that Musk had tried to continue in the position after the end of his term as a "special government employee" in order to make greater progress on the goal of cutting $1 trillion in spending.
