On June 5, at the 4th Steel Industry Digital Solution Exchange Conference and the 2025 Steel Industry Digital Transformation Evaluation System Promotion Conference, the "Guidelines for the Construction of Industrial Software Standard System in the Steel Industry" (hereinafter referred to as the "Guidelines") compiled by the China Steel Industry Association was officially released.

It is reported that the "Guidelines" issue documents and work deployments aimed at implementing the requirements and work deployment of documents such as the "Notice on Issuing Key Points of Industrial and Information Standards in 2025", "Work Plan for Digital Transformation of Raw Materials Industry (2024-2026)", and "Three-Year Action Plan for Digital Transformation Project of the Steel Industry (2024-2026)", and effectively play the supporting and leading role of standards in promoting the development of intelligent manufacturing in the steel industry.
The "Guidelines" are divided into three parts: overall requirements, construction ideas, and construction content, and are attached to two documents: "List of Current and Under-Research Standards in the Field of Industrial Software in the Steel Industry" and "Key Directions for Standardization of Industrial Software in the Steel Industry".
The "Guidelines" propose that the basic principles of the construction of the industrial software standard system in the steel industry are system layout, key breakthroughs, innovation-driven, application-driven, independent and controllable, open and compatible; the construction goal is to formulate and revise 20 standards by 2028, covering basic standards, general standards, product standards, and all levels of the entire life cycle such as steel research and development design, production and manufacturing, guarantee services, and business management, and build an industrial software standardization capability system that supports the digital transformation of the steel industry.
