Phoenix Finance reported that on a certain platform, some netizens revealed that their China Merchants Bank's "Huacai Life APP" was stolen.
The user complained that "AI technology can log in to the bank app through facial recognition and change the bound phone number!"
On the same day, the user said in another post, "There have been multiple victims' bank cards stolen, all of them are stolen through Huacai Life App, and the time is actually the last working day at the end of May."
"I have called the bank to complain, but after a few days, there is no response at present!" The user said in the post.
Phoenix Finance asked China Chuangye Bank for confirmation about this matter. A person familiar with China Chuangye Bank responded, "The card center is under verification."
In 2024, China CITIC Bank credit cards issued a total of 41.978 million cards, 19.4909 million valid cards at the end of the period, and the credit card loan balance was 169.284 billion yuan. There were 22.1785 million registered users of the credit card Huacai Life APP, an increase of 17.79% over the end of the previous year; of which 3.9392 million monthly active users (MAU), an increase of 15.94% year-on-year.
