The Israel Defense Forces issued a statement on the evening of the 8th saying that the Israeli Southern Command found the body of the military leader Mohammad Singwar, the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) during a designated operation carried out by the Gaza Strip.
According to the statement, the body of Mohammad Singwar was found in the underground tunnel of the European Hospital in Khan Yunis in the southern Gaza Strip.

statement said that during a joint operation between the Israeli army and the Israeli security department on May 13, Mohammed Singwar was killed, commander of the Hamas Rafa brigade, Mohammed Shabana, when they were hiding in the "underground command and control center" where the Israeli army was currently operating. During the search of the underground tunnel, the Israeli army also discovered some items from Singwar and Shabana.
According to the statement, the Israeli army also found the remains of other Palestinian militants during the operation and their identities are currently being reviewed.
On May 31, the Israeli Defense Forces and the Israeli National Security Agency (Simbet) issued a statement confirming that Mohammad Singwal was killed in an Israeli air strike on Khan Yunis a few days ago.
