In order to further popularize scientific knowledge, inspire children's enthusiasm for science, explore the unknown and innovate courage, on the morning of May 20, the Hailing District Science and Technology Association organized science and technology volunteers to visit the Affiliated Kindergarten of Zhuzhuang Central Primary School in Taizhou City to carry out the "Fantasy Science, Happy Growth" science and technology volunteer service activity.
During the event, science and technology volunteers transformed into "science magicians" and brought many interesting experiments. In the "Suspended Caterpillar" experiment, a caterpillar composed of balloons slowly "wriggled" and floated forward in the air. The children widened their eyes and were amazed. The science and technology volunteers explained the principles of aerodynamics and ignited the children's scientific interest. The "Super Air Cannon" experiment pushed the atmosphere to a climax. The device displayed by the science and technology volunteers gently pulled and let go. The powerful airflow instantly made the children on the opposite side feel the power of the air. The children cheered and raised their hands to experience it, and had an intuitive understanding of the scientific phenomenon. The "Table Pong Gatlin" experiment was also wonderful. Several table tennis balls flew out of the launching device like bullets, and the children were staring. The science and technology volunteers took the opportunity to introduce the principles of energy conversion and object movement to guide them to think about life phenomena.
The children actively participated throughout the whole process, felt the charm of science in laughter and amazement, had a preliminary understanding of scientific knowledge, opened the door to the world of science, and planted the seeds of love for science in their hearts.
