China's unilateral visa-free "circle of friends" has increased to 47 countries
From June 9, China will pilot visa-free policy for people with ordinary passports to Saudi Arabia, Oman, Kuwait and Bahrain. So far, the number of countries that have applied the unilateral visa-free policy has expanded to 47 countries to come to China.
From June 9, 2025 to June 8, 2026, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Kuwait and Bahrain will come to China for business, tourism, visit relatives and friends, exchanges and visits, and transit for no more than 30 days. They can be exempted from visa entry. In addition to the UAE and Qatar, a member states of the GCC that fully exempted visas in 2018, China has achieved "full coverage" of visa-free countries for GCC countries. A spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs previously said that the visa-free "list" continues to grow, demonstrating China's firm determination to continue to promote high-level opening up. China will continue to optimize its entry policy and continuously expand the scope of visa-free countries, so that more foreign friends can come to China to experience better product supply, more diverse consumption scenarios and more convenient service guarantees, and share prosperity with all countries with larger scope of openness and deeper cooperation.
