Dianfengwu Expressway is the 23rd connecting line in the "Fourth Ring 22-Ring 60 Connection Line" expressway network planning of Chongqing Expressway. The total length of the route is about 160 kilometers.

It is understood that after the Dianfengwu Expressway is completed and opened to traffic, it will not only form a convenient highway main channel connecting northeastern Chongqing and southeastern Chongqing, but will also connect Sichuan Dazhu to Dianjiang Expressway (Sichuan section) and Wulong to Daozhen Expressway, forming a Sichuan-Chongqing-Guizhou Expressway.
