On June 8, the joint investigation team of Jingxian County, Anhui issued a report on the assault of a tourist Cai.
The notice stated that on June 6, tourist Cai reported through the Internet that he was beaten by a local restaurant operator and his family during a dispute caused by parking. This attracted social attention. Jingxian established a joint investigation team and formed a working team to conduct a comprehensive investigation into the incident and the preliminary handling situation. The following handling was made: 3 people involved were detained, the local restaurant involved was suspended for rectification, and 5 public officials were held accountable.


According to previous media reports, Mr. Wang (pseudonym, Cai) from Zhenjiang, Jiangsu Province reported that during the Dragon Boat Festival holiday, he took his wife and daughter to Jingxian, Anhui for a trip. At noon on June 1, he parked in a public parking space near Taohuatan Scenic Area. The nearby restaurant owner required that he had to eat at the hotel, otherwise he could not park. After Mr. Wang refused, the two sides had an argument. Afterwards, the hotel owner called other personnel in the store to beat Mr. Wang.
On June 6, the Jingxian Culture and Tourism Bureau issued a situation notice and apologized to the tourist Cai and his family.
