Around 8 pm local time on June 6, a worrying thing happened around the bustling Wujo Bridge intersection in Shimokyo District, Kyoto, Japan:
A 37-year-old Chinese male tourist was suddenly attacked on his way back after dinner with about 20 Chinese tour group members and was injured by a man with a knife.

Afterward, according to media such as the Japan Broadcasting Association (NHK), Kyoto News and Asahi TV, the tour group was meeting a man walking in the same direction. For some reason, the two sides had a dispute and then started arguing. Then the man suddenly took out a knife-shaped object and chopped the Chinese tourist's right collarbone to the side abdomen.

According to the injured Chinese tourists, they do not know the person who committed the crime. The injured man was injured from near his neck to his side abdomen. The wound was 15 cm long, and some media also said that he was "stinged on his right shoulder." Fortunately, after being sent to the hospital, he was clear that he was not in danger of life. Moreover, in the report on Asahi TV the next day, the injured tourists were successfully discharged from the hospital.
According to the situation disclosed by the Shijing Police Department of Kyoto Prefecture, the man who committed the crime was about 175 cm tall, was thin, wore a white T-shirt and glasses. After committing the crime, he ran away from the scene on foot. The police are now pursuing all their efforts. The Kyoto police have defined this case as "attempted murder" and are launching a full-scale pursuit.

Here, I would like to remind friends who plan to travel to Kyoto in the near future, especially those who are active near Wujo Bridge and Shimokyo District. We must be vigilant, pay attention to the surrounding environment, and ensure our own safety. We also hope that the police can quickly catch the murderer and give the injured person and the public a reasonable statement. What do you think about this? Welcome to discuss together.
