June this year is the 24th "Production Safety Month" in the country. In order to improve the safety guarantee capabilities of rail transit construction, on June 6, Huzhou carried out the theme activity of "Everyone talks about safety, everyone knows how to deal with emergency - finds safety hazards around you" and a shield construction emergency drill at the Rutong Suhu Intercity Railway Project site. This is also the first special drill organized by Huzhou City for the emergence of shield tunneling.

This drill is based on the complex geological sudden risks of shield construction, and carefully designed a very challenging simulation scenario. From shield gushing caused by continuous heavy rainstorms, surface settlement, to toxic gases exceeding the standard, a series of progressive dangerous situations are linked together, covering the entire process of emergency response start-up, on-site emergency rescue, medical rescue and transfer. After the danger occurred, the safety officer reported to the command center, and the operators evacuated along the escape route, and at the same time started drainage equipment and double-liquid grouting reinforcement. After the danger escalated, the radar detects the surface void and backfilled the concrete, and the shield driver adjusts the pressure of the soil warehouse to balance the water and soil pressure. When the danger escalated again, the shield driver fainted due to inhaling carbon monoxide. The command center detected an abnormality through the monitoring system and immediately sent an AI robot into the tunnel to detect.
The robot transmits gas data in real time (showing that the carbon monoxide concentration exceeds the standard), and the command center remotely starts the emergency ventilation device to dilute harmful gases. Firefighters wore positive pressure air respirators to rescue the injured, the medical rescue team carried out cardiopulmonary resuscitation, and cooperated with 120 ambulances to send the injured to the hospital.

It is understood that the amphibious AI robot used in the drill is the first time that the product developed by Zhejiang University Huzhou Research Institute has been used in a shield structure scenario. The robot overcomes the limitations of multi-rotor drones in complex environments, can move quickly in complex terrain, and is equipped with a variety of advanced sensors to effectively identify harmful gas content in tunnels.
