Quick Technology reported on June 10 that according to media reports, China Post has made a major breakthrough in the field of low-altitude logistics. From June 5 to 7, Shaanxi Post Branch, together with the Postal Science Research and Planning Institute and Aerospace Times Feipeng Co., Ltd., successfully completed the first domestic postal inland long-distance fixed-wing drone round-trip cargo flight verification at Shaanxi Yulin Mahe General Airport.
This test flight uses the Aerospace Age Feipeng FP98 large fixed-wing drone, equipped with fresh specialty emails such as cherries and apples with a total weight of 600 kilograms.
The drone took off from Yulin Mahe Airport in the early morning of June 5 and arrived at Xi'an Lantian Airport; in the early morning of June 7, it returned from Xi'an Lantian Airport with full mail, landed smoothly in Yulin Mahe Airport, and successfully completed the round-trip flight mission of about 1,100 kilometers.
In order to ensure the success of this landmark test flight, the Shaanxi Postal Branch actively coordinated with the Provincial Department of Transportation and the Provincial Postal Administration, and worked closely with the partners. The team carefully planned, formulated a detailed test flight plan, carried out full-process drills, and implemented strict monitoring throughout the process, providing solid guarantees for flight safety and success.
In recent years, Shaanxi Postal Branch has actively responded to the country's strategic deployment to develop a low-altitude economy and continues to explore a new model of the integration of low-altitude economy and express logistics. Previously, multi-rotor and fixed-wing drone test flights have been carried out in Shangluo Shangzhou District, Xi'an to Yulin route, Xi'an urban area and other places, and have accumulated valuable experience.
At the same time, the company vigorously promotes the construction of an unmanned processing system, and has deployed 115 unmanned delivery vehicles in various cities across the province, actively exploring the "full process unmanned" operation model covering unmanned sorting, unmanned transportation, unmanned delivery and unmanned stations.
The success of this long-distance round-trip test flight laid the foundation for subsequent large-scale applications. Shaanxi Post Branch plans to promote the regular delivery and operation of short-distance multi-rotor drones in Shangluo City. Explore the establishment of a normalized transportation model for fixed-wing drones for high-time fresh products such as cherries and mutton.
