Lyle Russell, spokesman for Tarahoma City Government, introduced,This twin-engine plane crashed at Tarahoma Regional Airport at noon that day.Three of the 20 passengers and crew on board were taken to the hospital by helicopter due to injuries, one was sent to the hospital via ground traffic, and the other minor injured were dealt with at the scene.
Russell said no ground personnel were injured and the airport and ground facilities were not damaged.
The reason for the plane crash is not yet clear. The FAA is investigating the accident and the Tennessee Highway Patrol is assisting police in handling the scene.
Photos posted on social media by the Tennessee Highway Patrol showed a small white, blue-decorated aircraft head stuck in the lawn with a broken tail and wings.
